Hello there, I'm HobbesED. You can find ALL of my shared Creations, Conversions and Stories HERE. Some are NSFW (Not Safe For Work) which means simply they may have Sim nudity (gasp!) or adult themes and language in them.
I've been doing Sims things since the beginning of The Sims series. ( My Sims Background )
One of the main things I do in Sims 2 still to this day, is I find good clothing textures from defunct sites or creators with generous sharing policies and use their clothing textures, whether they are for the default sizes or others, and convert them to additional body shapes. Sometimes that is super easy, depending on the meshes and sometimes it can be a royal pain to re-arrange all the pieces and parts to make them work.
I'm also a big fan of clothing meshes with the fat and pregnant morphs. My game is constantly phasing out clothing and meshes which don't contain morphs whenever possible.
I've converted more than 1000 clothing items between shapes and meshes over the more than 15 years I've been playing Sims 2. Most of them are for personal use due to creators' policies or laziness on my part to research and document where the textures originally came from. But you can find the ones I've chosen to share at all the sites I've posted at in the link at the start of this introduction.
I'll likely be posting a few clothing conversions here for various Body Shapes that I use from time to time.
Thank you for joining me here.

Presenting my first ever Object Recolors! Three recolors of Kativip's Crime Scene Order Book.
I'm working on a new story but I don't have a timeline for when it might be done. But in the process of writing and taking pictures, I decided I needed some additional CC. What a surprise, right?
So I figured out how to make a recolor (or three). I took her blue "Orders" book and created a brown "Ledger", a green "Payroll" and a yellow "Invoices" book as recolors.

You can get her original Order Book HERE from Garden of Shadows as part of her Crime Scene Series.

It took a while but I'm back
Apr. 14th, 2023 04:09 pmI can't believe it's been nearly two years since I had that problem on my Win7 box. I'd bought the new Win10 desktop computer to replace it and that's worked well. I made a full system backup of my Win7 system after I got it back to ensure I'd lose nothing. But honestly, I was burnt out a bit on Sims2 and hadn't even loaded it on the new box. Until a couple of weeks ago...
It's now Win11 (after a free upgrade) and I've been playing other things. I got back into Diablo 2 Resurrected and then last year Diablo Immortal came out and I hopped on that. Of course, life ebbs and flows and now Diablo Immortal is wearing thin.
Then I had an inspiration. Don't know from whence it came and I decided to try getting my Sims2 Ultimate Collection going on the Win11 box. It took a little effort but nothing really surprising and TS2 UC works. And wow does it! What used to take 40+ minutes with all my 20+GB of CC to load to where I could play on Win7 only takes about 5 minutes to get to the same point on my Win11 box!
The inspiration was for a new story. And now with the superfast Win11 TS2 UC, I'm working on one. And having a lot of fun creating the sets, converting some new clothing to the necessary bodyshapes used in the story, and of course writing it. When I finish it, I'll post it somewhere and at the very least mention here where it can be found.
All this means that I'll more than likely start posting things again here soon. Hopefully...

A Major Setback
Aug. 1st, 2021 05:57 pmSo I haven't posted anything for a while. I don't know when, or if, that will change. My 10 year old computer may have died. I say may have since it's currently in the shop and has been for a while. It appears to be having some sort of hardware issue where it just black screens and won't respond. Sometimes it goes into a reboot loop, sometimes it will come up for a minute or two before it black screens and sometimes it will stay running for hours. Nothing wrong with memory or disk drives and no error messages in the logs.
Now being a careful user, my backups ran automatically every Sunday night so data loss should be minimal. But... and this is a big but.. it was a Win7 box and as we all should know by now, Win7 isn't supported. Not to mention that retailers stopped including OS install disks with their sales so I can't reinstall Win7 on another box. With that in mind, I went ahead and bought a Win10 replacement, but I'm undecided whether to try to install a 17 year-old TS2 game on it or not. I know some people have gotten Sims2 to work rather easily on Win10 while others have all sort of problems. So it's a crap shoot whether it will work on not.
For now, I'm hoping the shop can revive my Win7 box at which time it will likely simply become my Sims2-only machine. But if they can't.... I may be done. Or I may not. Only time will tell.

Amazonian Adult Outerwear
May. 9th, 2021 01:18 amPresenting two outerwear outfits converted to use Ocelotekatl's SynHighBoot mesh. The first is from Alisa at Sims Fashion and the second is from Soundbeat via The Sims Graveyard.

The Amazonian shape is courtesy of Ocelotekatl at Blue Heaven Sims. I take no credit for the textures or meshes. I simply convert other creators' designs to use meshes for different bodyshapes. The credit belongs to those who put the time and effort in to create them in the first place.

The outfits are classified as outerwear and are BSOK'd (classic version) for easier locating in your CAS or BodyShop clothing closets.

I definitely wanted an alpha dress mesh for my Amazonian ladies since it provides so much flexibility in providing clothing conversions. And then JulieJ created another amazing mesh that does just that! This one is Julie's Amazonian alpha dress mesh with wedge shoes.
So I found a texture from QTValeria, reworked the side seams in places to fit, added some white underwear, and then recolored the texture with matching ankle straps for the wedges to provide these six options.

Other than a (hopefully) unnoticeable nip here and tuck there with an occasional copy & paste, I take no credit for the texture. They are QTValeria's design. And I don't mesh at all so that's Julie's work based on Ocelotekatl's Amazonian shape. I simply convert and recolor textures to work with different meshes than they originally used.
The dresses are classified at everyday wear and are, as always, BSOK'd (classic version).

Amazonian S2S Gym JulieJ Sneakers
Apr. 25th, 2021 01:33 amJulieJ created another great female adult Amazonian mesh. This one with sneakers making sportswear clothes outfits much more realistic. So naturally I had to share a conversion I did using that mesh. Thanks Julie!
I took a Sims2Sisters white sportswear outfit and recolored it to provide six additional color options. I took Julie's sneakers and did a small change to those so they have stripes to match the outfits and came up with the following seven sportswear conversions for our Amazonian ladies.

You can find Julie's Amazonian mesh here at her adult site. The Amazonian shape is from Ocelotekatl at Blue Heaven Sims. The outfits are classified as sportswear and are BSOK'd (classic version).

Amazonian Adult S2S Top and Jeans
Apr. 18th, 2021 07:19 amJulie J has created several new Amazonian meshes (found at her Adult site) which should help alleviate the lack of variety in clothing choices for our adult Amazonian ladies. Thanks Julie! First up is her new LaceUp boot mesh which uses the nude Amazonian shape along with the boots.

Here are three outfits using Sims2Sisters textures and the boots Julie included with her original outfit. I combined three S2S tops with three different S2S jean textures to provide these clothing options. The Amazonian Shape is by Ocelotekatl and can be found at Blue Heaven Sims.

Amazonian Adult MBSims Xmas Dresses
Apr. 11th, 2021 12:26 amContinuing with more Amazonian clothing, I present you with eight formal dresses in a variety of colors on Ocelotekatl's Amazonian Dress mesh with heels. The gorgeous textures are Xmas dresses from M&B Sims.

I shortened the dresses to fit Ocelotekatl's mesh and then recolored her heels to match. The dresses are classified as formal wear and are BSOK'd (classic version) to sort with all my other BSOK'd Amazonian clothing.

Amazonian Adult Alisa Dresses with Heels
Apr. 4th, 2021 09:40 amHere are FOUR female adult Amazonian dresses using Ocelotekatl's recent MaybeDressHeels mesh at Blue Heaven Sims. (There isn't a corresponding mesh for Amazonian teens at this time.) All four dress textures are courtesy of Alisa at Sims Fashion. I recolored the heels to match the outfits.

The wedding dress is classified as formal wear only. Dresses 22 and 54a are classified as everyday wear only. Dress 23 is classified as both formal and everyday. The outfits are all BSOK'd (classic version).
And just FYI, the numbers assigned to Alisa's textures are my own designations and not the names used by Alisa which often contained Russian characters.

Amazonian Adult & Teen Alisa Casuals
Mar. 28th, 2021 01:29 amTwo more outfits for our Amazonian adult and teen females. This time it's casual outfits from Alisa at Sims Fashion using Ocelotekatl's SynHighBoot meshes.
It occurred to me that while I've been providing downloads for both the Adult and Teen Amazonians, I hadn't actually included any pictures of the teens. So just so you can gauge the relative differences, here's how the outfits look on both ages.

Again let me say that I don't take credit for the outfits. I simply take textures from friendly creators and convert them to use a different mesh. Sometimes I make some slight changes but that's usually just to conform to the needs of the mesh I convert to. In this case, I used Ocelotekatl's black boots for one outfit and then just recolored the boots to go with the other outfit. All credit goes to the creators of the textures and meshes I use.
These two outfits are, as usual, BSOK'd (classic version).

Amazonian Adult & Teen Simmergirl Formals
Mar. 7th, 2021 12:21 amHere are SIX formalwear outfits for our Amazonian Adult and Teen ladies.
The original dress texture came from Simmergirl. I made it into a hotpants outfit (no suitable dress mesh available) and recolored it to provide these six choices in colors.
The mesh used is Ocelotekatl's SynHighBoot mesh. The Amazonian shape is found at Blue Heaven Sims.

Once again, I converted them for both the Amazonian Adult and the Teen. All are BSOK'd (classic version) for your benefit.

There's been just a brief foray into some BodyBuilderGirl outfits due to my Shape Island neighborhood play. So I had the need/urge to convert some outfits for maternity wear for my BodyBuilder gals. Two downloads - six outfits total.
First up are two outfits from Alisa at Sims Fashion. They use Snarf's multishoe mesh, blockfeet version. I figured being pregnant needs more of the flat shoes it provides - heels aren't really what someone would typically choose to wear when "with child". So I slipped the flats onto Alisa's textures.

Another thing about this mesh from Snarf is that the BodyBuilder Girl's "Girls" are a bit larger than on the normal BBG meshes. Since along with baby comes increased breast size, I figured all of these outfits should be classified as maternity wear only. If you want to have them as everyday outfit choices as well, then a simple edit from 100 to 107 in SimPE to the Category entry in the Property Set will do that for you.
The next set of four BBG maternity wear comes courtesy of Sims2Sisters - again on Snarf's blockfeet multishoe mesh. I combined tops from one S2S collection with long shorts from another to arrive at the resulting clothing. Then I slipped some flip-flop looking thongs onto the outfits to finish off the conversion.

The pictures show a third trimester state as well as the pregnant but not yet showing state. All the outfits are BSOK'd (classic version) for grouping together with all other BSOK'd BodyBuilderGirl clothing in CAS and BodyShop.

Here are three more Teen BodyBuilderGirl outfits. These are classified as Casual Everyday wear and maternity wear. The textures come from Sims2Sisters 089011 collection and use Vanity Demise's alpha mesh (MaryJane shoe option).
The picture shows the three colored outfits as well as a 3rd trimester teen pregnancy version since they are available as maternity clothing.

The original S2S textures used different shoes that didn't have a counterpart in the Teen BodyBuilder Girl meshes so I took Vanity's Mary Jane shoes and recolored them to match the different outfits.

As I was playing my hood recently, I discovered I didn't have enough variety in Outerwear for my teen BodyBuilderGirls. So i dashed into BodyShop to correct that oversight. And these four outfits are what resulted.

Continuing on with Ocelotekatl's Amazonian body shape (found at Blue Heaven Sims) , I converted four textures from M&BSims to use the Amazonian underwear mesh.

Just for clarification, I don't create the meshes - Ocelotekatl provided these underwear meshes.
I don't create the textures. Zakaritz at M&B Sims created the pants/leggings textures while Martini at M&B Sims created the top texture.
I simply find ways to combine other peoples' great creations so they can be enjoyed on additional bodyshapes. All the hard work is done by those others - I just do a nip here and a tuck there to smooth out any irregularities the difference in meshes may cause.
These outfits I classified as both Gym wear and Sleepwear. Gym wear because there is no Amazonian blockfoot mesh to allow making sneakers/gym shoes so Amazonians will need to work out in their bare feet until a different mesh comes along for them. And Sleepwear because the outfits look so darn comfy!
Since the underwear meshes for Amazonian Adult and Teen are so much alike, I converted these for both ages.

Male and Female BodyShapes
Feb. 22nd, 2021 12:13 pmWhile I have more than 40 different bodyshapes installed in my game, I have found I tend to only use around 15 -18. This is primarily due to there not being enough meshes for each bodyshape to make or convert nice-enough clothing for each clothing category.
The hood I'm currently playing is called Shape Island. The playables on it are all bodyshapes, genetically - both dominant and recessive, both male and female. The only Maxis shapes are the game-generated Sims and they are not allowed to interact, much less propagate, with my Islanders. I'm currently up to Sim day 116-120 playing 5-day seasonal rotation. So I guess that means I'm in my 24th rotation.
After finding the Amazonian shape recently, I've introduced it and the male Punk Junky shape into the hood. Any playables that have those are still children or younger so they haven't displayed their shapes yet.
The male shapes I tend to use are shown below. The Maxis default shape is shown just for comparison purposes. At times some of the male sims do get the male-CPU shape but since it doesn't look that much different than the female shape I didn't include it in this picture.

So while there are 5-6 male shapes I tend to use most, there are more than 10 different female shapes.

Again, the Maxis shape is shown just for comparison since I don't use that on any of my playable Sims.
(I mislabeled the Maxis shape in the above picture. Maxis shape is 34BNat34.)

One female shape not shown because I'm phasing it out is the DDEnh34. I'm slowing dropping it because it's so similar to the DDEnh36 and there are far less meshes for the 34 to work with than for the 36.
I quite enjoy having the different bodyshapes - male and female - to provide more variety in Sims' appearances. If it weren't for the bodyshapes, I probably would have stopped playing Sims2 quite a bit ago. But so far I'm still going strong. :-)

Amazonian Adult & Teen Alisa Undy/PJs
Feb. 21st, 2021 08:53 am I recently discovered a new female bodyshape which intrigued me. It's the Amazonian bodyshape by Ocelotekatl which can be found at Blue Heaven Sims. The Amazonian shape is a bit more muscular and curvy than Marvine's Bodybuilder Girl. Ocelotekatl's meshes also include both fat and pregnant morphs which are required for me to play and work with the shape.
The one drawback thus far is that his meshes have been geared more towards medieval and SciFi or Superhero Sims so there are few workable meshes to do contemporary conversions to. Right now there's only a barefoot mesh (naked or underwear), and a pair of boot meshes for both the adult and teen shape and just one dress with heels mesh for the adult. I'm hoping there will be more "usable" contemporary meshes (e.g. alpha dresses with heels and some blockfoot meshes for converting clothing to use various flat shoes) coming.
Unfortunately a lot of the other Amazonian meshes either have specific pouches or clothing shapes meant for medieval play or they use some Sims 4to2 conversion which makes them practically unusable for mapping standard TS2 clothing to them. But you should really check out Blue Heaven Sims web site if you are into different bodyshapes at all. There are updates and downloads available for a host of different bodyshapes there!
Anyway, here are eight Underwear/Pajama items for the Amazonian body shape. The textures come from Alisa at Sims Fashion and are simply recolored and converted to use Ocelotekatl's underwear mesh. Check out Ocelotekatl's new shape and tell me what you think of it.

I used the variety of colors to allow for some choice in what your ladies may wear. The teen versions (no pictures) are simply a scaled down version of the adult. The pictures would almost look identical, just with the Sims slightly smaller.
